Joining Countryside Presbyterian Church

Becoming a Member at Countryside

We regularly receive new members at Countryside – both active members and affiliate members who retain church memberships out-of-area.  On most Sundays following worship service, our Membership Committee can be found in the main hall to greet visitors and potential members. Speak with them and they will help you in joining. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with a few of our elders and our pastor and indicate your interest.

We receive new active members by reaffirmation of faith, by certificate of transfer, or by public profession of faith and baptism if a person has not already been baptized. (Book of Order G1.0303)

Our Membership Committee will gladly take time to answer questions for you, tour you around our facility, and introduce you to our church family life and activities at Countryside. We are a warm and welcoming congregation, happy to receive visitors and guests. When we have Communion, it is not exclusive to members of our church body,  or even our denomination. All our welcome at God’s table.

Learning More About Countryside

In addition to meeting and greeting newcomers before and after worship on Sundays, we also hold special weekend Open House events to receive visitors interested in seeing the church and meeting other worshipers informally. Our coffee hours following Sunday worship also provide a comfortable and relaxed venue for getting acquainted.

Learning More About PC (USA)

Countryside Presbyterian Church was founded in 1988, and we moved into our current sanctuary in 2005. Our congregation is part of the Presbytery of Saint Augustine, of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), widely identified as PC(USA). More than two million people call the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) their spiritual home. Worshiping in 10,000 Presbyterian congregations throughout the United States, they engage the communities in which they live and serve with God’s love. Information about our PC(USA) along with its mission programs can be found on the web at pcusa.org.
